Today, our school came together to celebrate Veterans Day and honor the men and women who have served our country. The program began with everyone standing for the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a reading of the Preamble to the Constitution.
We learned about the history of Veterans Day and how it was created to recognize all who have served in the United States Armed Forces. The Declaration of Independence was also read, reminding us of the values and freedoms our country was founded on.
One of the highlights of the morning was when the High School girls ensemble performed The Star-Spangled Banner.
Dr. Spencer shared a personal story about his great uncle, who is a veteran, and talked about the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by those who serve. Students from each grade also shared reasons why they are thankful for our country.

The program was a meaningful reminder of how much we owe to our veterans. We are thankful for their service and proud to honor them on this special day.
