Geometree Winners

For more than thirty years, WSCS Math students have been creating Geome-tree ornaments from polyhedrons. Each year students come up with creative ways of designing a Christmas tree ornament using tag board patterns and rubber bands. The students are required to use only the provided supplies to construct the ornament. Once it is put together, students use their creativity to decorate them. The only rule is that the ornament must be able to hang from a hook in the ceiling. Once the ornaments are completed, they are displayed in the classrooms for judging. Staff members visit the classrooms and pick their top three ornaments. Once the ballots are all in, the winners are announced in chapel.

The tradition continued this year and the votes are in! First place winners were Charlotte Sneed (6th), Archer Sappenfield (7th), Maddie Harrison (8th), Sydney Rogers (9th), Sienna Sappenfield (10th), Julia Porsch (11th), and Kaitlyn Earnest (12th). They each received a Chick-Fil-A gift card and a Math homework half-pass. Second place winners included Lizzy Owens (6th), Clarie Mai (7th), Elliott Dumas (8th), Natalie Martin (9th), Andy Craig Dumas (10th), McKenzie Chadwick (11th), and Mikyla Marquez (12th).
